There’s no place like home for the holidays. That’s why bossman Blake Shelton made a surprise stop at his hometown Ole Red for a Turkey Day treat! Blake took the stage to introduce Oklahoma duo The Swon Brothers, who were back in the Doghouse for their 7th annual Thanksgiving show—a beloved Ole Red Tishomingo tradition.
But you know Thanksgiving is all about family, so Blake also brought up his stepson, Zuma Rossdale, welcoming him back to the Doghouse for the second time. Zuma showed that he’s quickly makin’ a name for himself as a certified cowboy, putting his spin on classic hits like “Neon Moon,” and “I Never Lie,” before joining The Swon Brothers back onstage for rousing renditions of “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” and “Friends in Low Places” that got the crowd singin’ along and feeling the holiday spirit.
This hometown show was a true family affair; Blake even made a surprise return during The Swon Brothers’ second show, this time with his wife, Gwen Stefani, by his side. Whether it’s Thanksgiving or any other time of year, you never know who might show up at Ole Red—but you can always count on Blake bringing the hometown love.
Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!
