Drinksgiving (Holiday Survival Guide)

OR Drinks-Giving

The holidays are fun and all, but there’s always those highly anticipated cringe-worthy moments that you can’t dodge. Friends don’t let other friends crash and burn. We’ve created a cocktail lineup that will help you survive your least favorite holiday moments.

Holiday ‘Prime’ Time

We’ve all been there… waiting anxiously for the package to arrive on time. This time, while you’re waiting for the Amazon truck to get to your house, try our Holiday ‘Prime’ Time cocktail… it won’t help your packages arrive any faster, but it WILL help you pass the time while you wait.

2 oz. Early Times Bottled in Bourbon

1 oz. Demerara Syrup

3 oz. Blue Moon Belgium Ale

Combine bourbon and demerara syrup. Add ice. Top with Blue Moon. Garnish with an orange slice.

Batteries Not Included

What’s worse than the anxiety that comes with realizing you’ve given a child a new toy WITHOUT the batteries included? Nothing. This won’t solve the issue, but we can guarantee you that alcohol is in fact, included. No surprises here.

1 ½ oz. Coconut Rum

3 oz. Sparkling Wine

1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

5 oz. Cranberry Red Bull

Add coconut rum, sparkling wine, fresh lime juice, cranberry Red Bull in a tall glass over ice. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with lime wedge.

The Dreaded Cookie Exchange

We thought gift exchanges were supposed to be pleasant, especially cookie exchanges. If you brought a prize-worthy plate of confectionary deliciousness and now you’re deflated that you’re having to trade down your grandma’s world class recipe, we hear you. If the drink includes milk, it goes with cookies, right?

1 ½ oz. Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum

½ oz. Amaretto

½ oz. Vanilla Syrup

½ oz. Agave Syrup

1 ½ oz. Milk of Choice

Add all ingredients in a cocktail tin. Add ice. Shake for 10 seconds. Rim a martini glass with sprinkles. Strain into glass.

Relationship Status?

Aunt Carol really cuts to the chase any time she sees you show up to a holiday party alone (again). It leaves you no choice but to do the same. Pour a shot of the good stuff when cuffing season just isn’t your thing, no BS.

P.S If you’re single this holiday season, you’re not alone. We’re with you in spirit(s), and we’ll pour one in your honor.

2 oz. Reposado Tequila

Pour into a shot glass and enjoy.

Stop with the Fruit Cakes

Here’s a little something to help you cope with the fact that someone started the tradition of giving other people fruit cakes as gifts. A few of these and maybe they’ll taste a little better too…

2 750ml Bottles Red Moscato

1 750ml Bottle Sparkling Wine

½ Cup Vodka

2 Cup Frozen Cranberries

1/3 Cup Mint leaves

3 Cups Cran Apple Juice

1 Cup Ginger Ale

3 Limes

Add all ingredients into a punch bowl. Add cranberries and lime wheels.

The Re-Gifter

If “gift time” isn’t your favorite part of the holidays, that’s okay, we get it. We’ve put together something simple with just two ingredients, giving you plenty of time to start a bet to see who’s getting the Target blanket that’s made its rounds to every single family member since 2010.

1 oz. Jägermeister

4 oz. Mountain Dew or any Lemon Lime Soda

Add all ingredients in a tall glass over ice.
