Orlando Mendez

Orlando Mendez, aka “The Cuban Cowboy,” was born and raised in Miami, FL. He is a second-generation Cuban American who found a love for country music at an early age. After graduating from the University of Florida and pursuing a short acting career, Orlando began to write and sing his longtime passion: country music. For almost two years he performed all over Florida with his band, “The Orlando Mendez Band.” In 2022, Orlando auditioned for season 22 of “The Voice” and was awarded a unanimous, four-chair turn by the coaches on the panel: Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello. He was heralded for his unique voice and powerful stage presence and featured in three performances on the show. Orlando now lives in Nashville, TN and is currently in the process of releasing his debut EP. His aim is to bring the vibrancy and energy of his background to the truth and simplicity of country music.
