Alex Smith

“BORN TO A MAN IN A BAND ON THE BAYOU”
Alex Smith truly has music coursing through his veins. Surrounded by music from an early age, Alex grew up with a grandfather and father who both sang and played guitar. It wasn’t until the eighth grade that Smith caught the bug to play an instrument of his own. Picking up a guitar and learning songs on YouTube quickly led to playing at church and local bars.

In 2016, Smith made the big move to Nashville to pursue his songwriting dream. A few years later, Smith’s undeniable talent caught the attention of Edgehill Music Publishing where he signed his first publishing deal in 2019. Shortly after, he began a large-scale project with world renowned producer, Kent Wells. “I look forward to the release of my new songs,” Smith said, “featuring some of the greatest names in music: Sonny Landreth, Leslie Satcher, and of course, my dad, H.B. Smith.”

Smith has an incredible knack for writing which is something he is deeply proud of. Just like his idol, Dolly Parton, Smith vows to remain a “writer and story-teller first,” and use his music to give back to the people and places that built him.

Lana Scott

From the electrifying stage of NBC’s The Voice, where Lana landed in the Top 8 Semi-Finals, Lana is poised to expand her audience through her ability to share heartfelt and honest music.  Her unique voice and captivating stage presence was applauded by her coach, Blake Shelton, all season long and  she was notably one of the few to receive a four-chair standing ovation during the live shows by the likes of coaches Ariana Grande, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake Shelton.

Scott’s self-directed, debut music video for her song “Permanent” was recently featured by CMT and premiered by Taste of Country!  She has appeared on Today in Nashville, RFD-TV, The Opry Plaza, Hampton Roads Show, and more!  Lana reached the Top 10 in the spring for Tractor Supply’s Emerging Artists songwriting competition and was just recently to be a featured Ole Red Spotlight Artist by Opry Entertainment.

Her debut album will be released this fall and she will continue dropping a select few singles from it in the meantime!  Lana’s passion for connecting with people through her music is unmatched as she strives to curate fresh hope, joy, and a sense of zest in country music and the world around her.

Hudson Valley

Hudson Valley is a female-fronted band rooted in country vocals with a rock-infused sound, delivered with a healthy dash of sass, like only lead singer Sarah Owens can. After landing in Nashville in 2018 from her home state of New York, Owens hit the ground running with a group of musical kindred spirits. With Richie Owens on drums, Andrew Kosek on bass, & Matthew Farinelli on guitar, the foursome combined their influences in the rock & country music genres to create a sound that is authentically & uniquely Hudson Valley.

In May of 2019, Hudson Valley’s EP “Seven” debuted at #17 on the iTunes Country Album Chart. The debut single “Can’t Have Nothin’ Nice” garnered the band their first taste of Country Radio after being picked up by Radio Disney Country. Their single “(Unmistakable Signs of a) Bad Boyfriend” grew in popularity all the way up to #41 on the Music Row Country Breakout Chart in 2020.

In early 2021 Hudson Valley’s “Right Place Now” made its country radio debut surpassing their previous radio release and sitting at #39 on the chart already. “After their EP ‘Seven’ I wasn’t sure how they could improve on that effort but “Right Place Now” did just that! Sarah Owens’ vocal talent is undeniable.”[Undiscovered Nashville] You can catch Hudson Valley playing Ole Red almost every week. Be sure to follow @OfficialHudsonValley on all social media platforms because this group is creating quite a buzz up & down Music Row.
