Mathew Barringer is a country music singer-songwriter from Hanover, Indiana, whose journey has been shaped by small-town roots, family influences, and an unstoppable passion for music. His love for singing began in church with his grandparents and truly took off in fourth grade, when a teacher punished him for humming too much in class by making him sing in front of everyone. Instead of embarrassment, that moment lit a fire in Mathew — he not only embraced the spotlight but went on to win the school talent show. To this day, he thanks his teacher, Mrs. Firth, for helping him discover his true calling.
Mathew’s path hasn’t been without challenges. Around his eighteenth birthday, he was diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy, but that never stopped him from chasing his dream. At 23, he moved to Nashville, where he has been performing on Broadway stages and songwriter nights ever since, honing his craft and connecting with audiences.
In 2013, Mathew reconnected with a girl from his hometown, a love story that has become one of his greatest inspirations. Today, they’re married and raising two amazing boys — Brooks (10) and Bo (just 18 months old). Family and love are at the center of his life, and those themes shine through in the songs he writes and the way he connects with audiences.
Over the years, Mathew has shared the stage with top musicians across the United States and has opened for country stars like Kid Rock, Jake Owen, Darryl Worley, and Jamey Johnson. One of his career highlights came at Kentucky Speedway, where he sang the National Anthem for a nationally televised NASCAR race in front
of thousands of fans.
Blending traditional influences like Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, and Kenny Chesney with his own authentic storytelling, Mathew writes songs that reflect the heart of country music. From rowdy party anthems to heartfelt ballads of love, small-town pride, and the joys of family life, his music resonates with audiences who appreciate honesty and energy in every lyric.
Mathew recently released his new single “Redneckin’ Kind” and is currently in the studio working on two more singles set to release by the end of 2026. With a voice full of grit and soul, a knack for connecting through storytelling, and a stage presence built on real-life experiences, Mathew Barringer continues to carve out his place in today’s country music scene.
