Beer ‘Round Here Dinner

This special evening will feature five courses of elevated, Southern-inspired Floridian cuisine by Executive Chef, Mark Boor. Each course has been expertly paired with a craft beer pour from one of Florida’s top breweries, Crooked Can Brewing Company. Enjoy presentations from Chef Mark and Crooked Can as they take you on a mouth-watering journey for this one-time only menu pairing.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 29, beginning with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by a seated dinner from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Compressed watermelon canape with pork rind, whipped goat cheese, smoked trout caviar

Apalachicola Oyster
cornmeal dusted + duck fat fried, peppadew chow-chow and Zellwood corn puree
Paired with Cloud Chaser Hefeweizen 5.3% ABV

Course Two
Gator Eggroll
smoked gator wing, boudin, mustard greens and green tomato aioli
Paired with McSwagger’s Own Amber Ale 6.0% ABV

Course Three
Shrimp & Grits
crawfish + Creole trinity Ansol Mills corn grit cake,
New Orleans BBQ, pickled okra and squid ink tuile
Paired with High Stepper IPA 7% ABV

Course Four
Wild Boar Spareribs
brussels sprouts hot slaw, pork belly lardon, stewed beans, brown butter cornbread crumbs and maple bourbon glaze
Paired with Burgermeister Oktoberfest 6.2% ABV

Dessert
Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Torte
candied bacon & Axum coffee chocolate stout ice cream
Paired with Axum Coffee Chocolate Stout 5.1% ABV

A “Top 20 Chef of Central Florida,” executive chef Mark Boor boasts over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Most notably in the central Florida area, he was a Featured Guest Chef at Epcot Food & Wine Festival from 2012 to 2016.

Crooked Can Brewing Company, a local craft brewery inside the Plant Street Market in downtown Winter Garden, Fla., uses traditional methods as well as cutting-edge brewing practices to produce unique craft beer with excellent taste and consistent quality under supervision of its award-winning brewmaster.
