In 22 seasons of coaching up-and-comers on the Voice, boss man Blake Shelton has developed a knack for spotting country music’s best up-and-coming artists (then bringing them to Ole Red). This is where Dalton Dover, Kameron Marlowe, and Bryce Leatherwood have found their place at Ole Red and beyond. And with locations in Nashville, Gatlinburg, Tishomingo, Orlando, and soon-to-be Las Vegas, playing these stages – decked out with concert-caliber audio and visuals – has been a milestone moment for many. Here are some of the former Voice contestants from Team Blake who have taken our main stage:
The Swon Brothers
Oklahoma natives Zach and Colton Swon rose to fame after appearing on season four of The Voice, where they finished in third place. Since, they’ve released multiple albums and have toured with some of the biggest names in country music, including Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. They’ve taken Ole Red’s Doghouse stage in Tishomingo, and the main stage in Nashville.
Dalton Dover
Arkansas’ “Baby I Am” superstar Dalton Dover was a member of Team Blake during Season 19 of The Voice. Known for his smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics, he’s a fan favorite at Ole Red Nashville and Gatlinburg. In 2022, Blake (a Grand Ole Opry Member since 2010) even surprised Dalton by calling into his set at Ole Red Nashville and inviting him to make his Grand Ole Opry debut.
Emily Ann Roberts
Tennessee’s own Emily Ann Roberts was a member of Team Blake during season nine of The Voice at age 17, where she finished in second place. Roberts went on to make her Grand Ole Opry debut, release several albums and hit singles, and tour with Blake Shelton himself. She’s played at Ole Red in Nashville, Gatlinburg, and Orlando. She is currently releasing a string of music including singles like “Whole Lotta Little” and “He Set Her Off.”
Wendy Moten
Wendy Moten is a soulful powerhouse singer from Memphis, Tennessee. She’s best known for her work as a backup singer for artists like Stevie Wonder and Michael McDonald. Moten was a member of Team Blake during season 18 of The Voice. Her first Ole Red performance was at an Ole Red Las Vegas sneak peek event. But she also wowed crowds at Ole Red in Nashville during The Voice Season 22 fan watch party.
Todd Tilghman
Todd Tilghman is a pastor and singer from Meridian, Mississippi. He was a member of Team Blake during season 18 of The Voice, where he was crowned the winner. Tilghman has since released multiple albums and has performed at various events across the country, including Ole Red in both Nashville, Tishomingo, and Gatlinburg as part of the Ole Red float in the 2022 Gatlinburg Christmas Parade.
Bryce Leatherwood
Bryce Leatherwood is a fast-rising singer/songwriter from Woodstock, Georgia. He was a member of Team Blake during season 22 of The Voice. Leatherwood is known for his powerful vocals and distinctly southern sound. He’s been a big hit at Ole Red Tishomingo, Orlando, and Gatlinburg.
Worth the Wait
In 2022, our favorite trio from The Voice season 19, Worth the Wait, performed a pop-up show at Ole Red Gatlinburg. During the show, Blake gave them a surprise call invite them to made their Grand Ole Opry debut. The country-pop trio from Alabama includes sisters Mia and Jacy Matthews, and their mom, Tara Matthews. They frequently take the stage at Ole Red Nashville.
This is where country music lovers come to find their next favorite artist. Why? Because Ole Red talent is the real deal. Ole Red Nashville hosts Voice alum like Lana Scott and Peedy Chavis regularly, and there’s always new artist popping up. So, next time you’re at Ole Red, pay attention to who’s up on stage, because they just may be the next big thing. Check out our upcoming shows and events here.
