About Josh Ross:
Josh Ross, blending country themes into his pop-rock style, encapsulates the essence of love, work, and play through his tumultuous journey. From braving a tornado on his move to Nashville, swiftly departing amidst a pandemic, to navigating career hurdles like injuries and tumultuous relationships, Ross emerges as a resilient country artist, transcending constraints. Growing up in Burlington, Ontario, amidst the melodies of Guns N’ Roses and Bruce Springsteen, Ross found solace in music, unknowingly scribing lyrics during his sports-filled youth. Despite setbacks from injuries during his football days at Western University, music became his sanctuary, with dorm room guitar sessions and impromptu bathroom concerts. Transitioning into the music industry, Ross battled nerves akin to his football days, but his dedication led him to Nashville. Signing with Universal Music Canada and The Core Entertainment marked a pivotal moment, propelling his career. Ross’s emotive compositions, like “On A Different Night” and “First Taste of Gone,” garnered millions of streams, earning him acclaim nationally and internationally. Awarded ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ at the 2023 Canadian Country Music Awards, Ross’s journey continues, highlighted by electrifying performances alongside industry giants. With support from The Core and Universal, Ross solidifies his status as a rising star in country music, promising much more to come.
