The spirit of the mountain West flows through JD DeGroots veins like a river. His wide array of inspirations cultivate his musical identity ranging from traditional and 90’s country, to rock and roll. His deep roots from the high western deserts play a pivotal role in his sound. Growing up in a household that had multiple genres playing at any given moment allowed JD the diversity of exposure to great music fell in love with country music. For years playing the local scenes in Ogden, Utah. He decided it was time to make the move to Nashville. He bought a small tow behind trailer to live in, loaded up his pickup, and headed east towards the land of a million songs. Working several different style of jobs, sometimes multiple at a time. From bartending to loading docks, construction and handyman work. His hard work led him to crossing paths with his now producer Jonell Polansky. For the past few years they have been working side by side to create his upcoming releases. Recorded at the iconic Curb records studio 43, JD and Jonell collaborated with some of the most respected, accomplished, and skilled musicians and engineers on music row.
