Last Year, Ole Red Nashville’s security guard Kevin Cory LeSure stepped on stage to perform “Tennessee Whiskey” with the lead singer of Hudson Valley. Fans showed him so much love and support, he later gave an impromptu performance with The Mobile Homeboys and ended up with a very viral video.
In a full-circle Ole Red moment, Kevin performed at The Lookout on July 19 surrounded by fans and supporters. His set had original singles and songs that have touched him in different ways:
“There was a song called ‘Josephine,’ which was about a woman who treated me so badly, but I just could not seem to separate from her,” Kevin said. “I saw ‘Purple Rain’ by Prince and that’s a special song for me because a friend of mine who loved to hear me sing that song had passed away. I also sang ‘Neon Moon’ by Brooks & Dunn. I love that song.”
